The entry-level Tacoma trim level, SR, comes standard with an access cab with a six-foot standard bed, while a double cab with a five-foot bed is optional. Under the hood is the standard 2.7L inline four-cylinder engine producing 159 horsepower. Standard exterior features include a sliding rear window, power-adjustable/heated side mirrors, 16-inch steel wheels, movable bed cleats, and a dark grey grille with black surrounds. The SR5 trim builds on the aforementioned SR trim, adding numerous features to the interior and exterior. Inside, the SR5 gains push-button ignition, an 8-inch infotainment touchscreen, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror. The TRD Sport comes standard with a 278-horsepower 3.5L V6 engine, which remains standard throughout the rest of the Tacoma lineup. Additionally, the exterior adds body-color fender flares, a body-color rear bumper, a functional hood scoop, 17-inch alloy wheels, Sport suspension, and a 120-volt outlet in the bed. Inside, the TRD Sport adds a wireless charging pad for Qi-enabled devices, a 10-way power-adjustable driver's seat, a leather-trimmed shift lever, and more. The Premium Sport package is available, adding leather upholstery, heated front seats, and a sunroof.

If you like the TRD Sport but seek more off-road capability, then the suitably named TRD Off-Road is where you should look! The TRD Off-Road features rugged black fender flares, Bilstein shock absorbers, an advanced traction control system for off-roading with multiple terrain settings, and a locking rear differential.

The TRD Pro brings both of the aforementioned TRD trims together and adds even more off-roading features. First and foremost, it has increased approach, breakover, and departure angles for an imposing stance and optimal ground clearance. These include but are not limited to a TRD front skid plate, a hood scoop, FOX internal bypass shock absorbers, 16-inch alloy wheels, Goodyear Kevlar all-terrain tires, black-painted TRD wheels, an upgraded exhaust system, and much more.

The Limited trim tops off the 2023 Toyota Tacoma lineup, pulling all the stops for maximum comfort, style, and convenience. Much of this comes from the interior amenities, which include navigation, an eight-inch touchscreen, a sunroof, leather upholstery, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and a JBL premium audio system. The Limited trim also adds more safety, with blindspot monitoring, a 360-degree surround-view camera system, rear cross-traffic warning, and rear parking sensors.
