I think it's pretty awesome
by Clay on 4/21/2026 1:20:56 AM
I've never been a huge EV person, in fact, I am very much a "car guy" and have been die-hard for gas vehicles for years. However, due to living being expensive my wife and i needed at least one of our vehicles to be cheap to drive since I had a tacoma and she had a 4runner, both with the toyota v6, so we were averaging like 16 mpg in our vehicles on a good day. And so we traded in her 4runner for a brand new 2026 BZ XLE Plus. And to be honest, I am baffled that I like it as much as I do so far. Driving feels incredibly smooth, its plenty quick when you need it to be, and is super easy to drive. The Park - Drive - Neutral - Reverse system is incredibly simple, tactile, and practical. It's not just a dial with little to no feedback, you can only put the car into each mode if you do the correct motion. Park is a button, neutral you push the main dial straight down, drive you push it down and turn right, reverse you push it down and turn left. I thought I would hate it, but it actually has quite a good mechanical feel for an electric car. There are some features that I find annoying that I turned off, like 'driver awareness' and 'lane keep assist' but all the other ones are pretty helpful and dont feel like they yank the vehicle out of my control. The interior feels very nice considering how relatively cheap the car is, and the infotainment screen looks and feels very high quality. I'd prefer more buttons and dials than screen, but the ones that are there feel super high quality and comfortable to use. Even the fabric seats feel very nice all things considered. if you want a TL/DR here it is It is 100% not a tesla, and it is not trying to be. It feels like a toyota that happens to be electric, but in a very good way. It has good range, charges pretty absurdly fast, and it looks good without looking much like an electric car. I tried to charge it while going to get coffee once, from 20-80% and it was done before i could even get my drink which took about 20 - 28mins. It's a relatively inexpesive - good looking - reliable feeling - practical car. So far I've loved having it. - 5.0
Great car

This car was built to be like any other Toyota, it just happens to be electric. So if you want a Tesla, or your car to be more like a Tesla, than this car is not for you. If you want an electric car that just feels like your Toyota Camry or RAV4 when you get in and out, or when you drive. This is the car. Charging speed could be better, but isn't as bad as you are led to believe from other reviews. I've been getting around 250 miles per charge, which is great range as well. - 5.0

Very spacious interior. Good mileage per charge. Runs very smoothly whether in the high way or city.
